Adelle

Hi there! My mom is lovingly stalking me to update on this new blog so I better hurry and do it!!

Me.... I am a busy busy bee. I moved to Houston a little over 4 years ago and started working in one of the school districts down here teaching social studies. This is my first year not teaching. I am basically the "go-to" girl. My "official" job is to plan, train, implement, and dissect district, state, and national tests. I know... it sounds super thrilling but I'm a nerd. Give me an Excel sheet and I just get nerdy giddy. I am also in charge of student council, history fair, and a grant for 100 kids that were identified as "at-risk" for dropping out. Basically if there is a random job.... I will get it done.... hahahaha.

Keona Ailene .... she is HILARIOUS. Seriously. I know everyone thinks their kid is random. I fall in that category. She is the world's smallest 80-year-old. She uses words like weary... correctly. "Miss Amy, you are going to need to carry me. My legs are getting weary." When asked what she wanted for her birthday she responded, "Whew. I just have so many people that love me. It's going to be hard deciding who gets to give me which present."

My new HUSBAND.... YUP! I got married!! Kristain (my new husband) and I have been together for about 2 1/2 years and living together for the last year. We made it "official" last Wednesday when Mom, Dad, Cass, Thomas, and the babies were here for Thanksgiving/Wedding. He is an AMAZING man and father and Keona and I are so blessed to have him in our lives. He works at a company that does printing for corporations' SEC filings. Very random.

We are going to visit a college friend of his in Jacksonville, FL this weekend and watch the Jacksonville/Texans football game like we do every year... should be a blast!

I included a link to the pictures from the wedding/Thanksgiving.... enjoy!

Brendan and Jean

I'm still teaching (mostly database classes) at the University of Wisconsin--Eau Claire. I usually teach 2 undergrad and 1 grad class per semester. Brendan is doing well selling real estate and makes playing basketball at the Y a daily priority. Friday a college kid was guarding him, so Brendan ran up to him, did a 360* spin around him and swooshed the ball for 2 points. The young man asked Brendan how old he was (52) and then told Brendan how good he was for being so old. :-) Brendan and I are still chuckling.

Laura Mae

Hello All! I am still living in Idaho Falls. We had some snow yesterday so today is pretty cold and white outside :). I am attending ISU and majoring in Elementary Ed with an emphasis in English. Hopefully applying to the program next semester. I have been able to take all my classes at the campus in Idaho Falls. It looks like i will have to spend a couple days a week in Pocatello next semester. Shawn and I moved into a bigger home this April, it is older and has a lot of character. The owner lovingly calls it "Chateau Pistachio" because of its bright green color that wasnt quite what she thought she'd picked out in the store. We are just renting it so we dont care too much. I am cleaning houses and have one home health client at the moment but that keeps me busy. I saw Rocky for the first time in 3 years last month, he seems to be doing okay and living with Dad. I will try to post a picture of us if I can figure it out :)

Laurel's Art

Laurel--

I found one of your art exhibits on the Internet (http://www.1912center.org/). Very cool.

Didn't you recently have a big show? How did it go?

There are a bunch of links to you! I also see that you're teaching a monoprinting class today and have several exhibits scheduled. Looks as if you're busy. Have fun!
